DLC 771 Gives Back to the Community.

DLC 771 donated money to Burton 4-H Club of Porterville, California.  The money went to purchase an overhead projector.  Burton 4-H President Colton Searcy said at tonight’s DLC’s General meeting in Hanford, ” With your generous donation we were able to purchase an overhead projector. This projector will be used at our meetings to teach the members on how to fill out record books and to promote other things like 4-H Camp.”

Tim Chaney, DLC771′s Chief Stewart, told the members of why it was important to give back to the community. Tim said that this is why we give donations to youth groups. By giving back to the community we reinforce the fact that Unions are here to help the people.  We care about our union brothers and sisters family’s and want to help with organizations that try to keep kids out of trouble.
